A memorial service for our friend Alan Gettleman will be held on 
Friday, February 16, 2024 at 3:00pm at the Grace United Methodist 
Church, 65 Needle Blvd, Merritt Island, FL 32953.

Alan was a beloved fixture in COA and the shell collecting community 
for decades as were his parents Jacob and Ethel. Alan was convention 
chairman for two of COA's conventions on the Space Coast in 
Melbourne, Florida, and at the time of his passing in December was 
COA's historian. Alan was also an active member and past President of 
the Astronaut Trail Shell Club and chairman for their annual shell 
shows for many years.

Alan will be sorely missed.
