 Presumably related to the "extended specimen network" concept -- a museum specimen lot is a lot more than just the specimen itself.

Happy New Year from the home of Pilsbry’s Ghost!

 

I’m looking for information on one Karl Squires, a collector of various things (birds’ eggs, artifacts and Liguus snails) in the Miami area between 1920 and roughly 1945. We have at least part of his collection ofLiguus and are using him as a test case for the concept of “the socially-extended specimen.”
