The Columbia University Center for Climate Systems Research (CCSR) invites
applications for a postdoctoral scientist position to develop advanced
gridded crop modeling frameworks for connection to remote sensing and
climate products. The candidate will work closely with scientists at CCSR
and at the co-located NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies, as well as
with scientists in the *Agricultural Model Intercomparison and Improvement
Project* (AgMIP; whose international coordination hub is at CCSR). Tasks
will include further development of high-resolution crop models executed on
high-performance computational systems, configuration of the models across
broad domains, the processing of remote sensing and weather model data to
drive these models, and their combination within data assimilation and
forecasting systems. Information about CCSR can be found at:
https://ccsr.columbia.edu/; information about AgMIP: www.agmip.org; and
GISS: www.giss.nasa.gov
