The research group Genebank Documentation
<https://www.ipk-gatersleben.de/forschung/genbank/genbankdokumentation> as
part of the Federal ex situ Genebank for Agricultural and Horticultural
Crop Species at the IPK is an important project partner of the large
European research project INCREASE which aims to develop new approaches for
the conservation of the biodiversity of cultivated legumes. In addition to
setting up structures for data management and data transfer, an important
task within the project is to support the partners in data collection and
to successively consolidate this diverse data.

*Your tasks:*

   - Development/further refinement of data exchange formats
   - Supporting the project partners in the preparation and import of data
   into databases and repositories
   - Be responsible for data management
   - Participation in the conception of a web portal for common access to
   various project data sources

*Your qualifications and skills:*

   - You have a master or PhD degree in the field of biology, computer
   science, bioinformatics, agricultural sciences or a comparable discipline.
   - You ideally have experience in biodiversity research or with genetic
   resources.
   - You are familiar with the transformation and analysis of larger,
   heterogeneous data sets.
   - Maybe you have experience in joint projects on European level.
