Celebrate GIS Day with the Library of Congress through our virtual "Climate Cartographies" event.  Geography enthusiasts, teachers, students and professionals celebrate GIS Day across the globe with community events to highlight the benefits of geospatial science and technology in addressing the world's challenges. This year, viewers of the Library's virtual event will hear directly from cartographic specialists, speaking on how they utilize cartographic design to translate complex scientific discoveries into understandable, engaging and actionable insights about the climate. Speakers include Christey Allen, Brett Huson, and Matthew Loxley of the Prairie Climate Center, John Nelson of Esri, and staff of the Geography & Map Division.
