When the messages came out a few months ago concerning the problems some
people had with the Routledge atlas, "Atlas of the World's Languages", a
marketing manager for Routledge, Rea Christoffersson, called me about some
sources in Geography. I know her from the days she worked in the Library here
at Georgia. She did not know that MAPS-L was one of the lists on which
there had been traffic about the Languages Atlas. I told her about the traffic
and she expressed interest in presenting Routledge's side. Routledge was
going to send out an Internet message on the problem and I told her I would
consider sending it out to MAPS-L because of the interest in the Atlas. I have
not heard from Routledge since then, but would be glad to contact them, IF the
list subscribers so request.
