I am frequently being mistaken for a cartographer because I work in a map
library. I usually try to explain reasonably that actually I'm a
professional librarian who specializes in maps. It's along the same lines as
people who say to me how nice it must be to work in a library because I must
love to read. This is a image problem for librarians in general and map
librarians in particular. I hope James will have a chance to set his
interviewers straight.
